Take A Healthy Proactive Weight Loss
Approach And Get Results

Proactive Weight Loss Overview

For many people, losing weight and keeping it off isn't just tough, it can be near impossible. In our eat-and-run, massive-portion-sized world, maintaining a healthy weight can be hard enough, and healthy weight loss can be a real struggle.

Most of the people that are looking for proactive weight loss solutions are those who have a full time job or school, are raising a family, and can rarely afford the time needed to be successful with their fat loss efforts.

Adding to the challenges and difficulty of "How Do We?", is the abundance of fad diets and “quick-fix” plans that tempt and confuse us and ultimately usually do not work. Constant setbacks and painful fad diets can damage a person's self-confidence, social life, job performance and health, leaving one feeling like a total failure. "Does that sound like YOU?"

Let's Get Real For Just A Moment...Most people want a quick fix to their weight loss challenges and would rather be like a yo-yo in their hopes of being successful. Here is the reality to this approach:

YO-YO Dieting Is Destructive To Your Body !

Physically recent studies have correlated this lose weight-gain weight cycle-lose again cycle also called yo-yo weight loss to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and depression. This yo-yo weight loss also called weight cycling is defined as a weight loss of more than 10 pounds and then you rebound and gain 10 or more pounds. You then repeat this cycle over and over again. The statistics tell a scary story. Some estimates are that more than 80% of those who have lost weight have regained all of that lost weight within 2 years. Some have regained even more than what they lost.

Those that tend to fall into this weight cycling conundrum are those who follow very strict or calorie restrictive diets. Many need to see quick results so they go to the extreme and follow the most restrictive methods possible day and and day out without a break. This is to satisfy our instant gratification complex we tend to have. There are studies that support this and when you stop that severe restriction and start adding calories then the weight comes right back on.

Weight cycling may also change your physiology and affect your hormones by increasing the hormone gherlin, which is a hunger hormone. It also may decrease the hormone leptin which tells you that you are full. When this hormone is low you feel hungry more often and then essentially eat more as a result.

You tend to also lose muscle when you are on the losing weight part of the cycle, which then slows down your metabolism even more. The result is even more fat on the rebound. This also makes it harder to lose weight later because your metabolism is now running slower and burning less calories.

As you can see, taking a proactive weight loss approach can be challenging and there are many factors that contribute toward your success of losing un-wanted weight or not.

Weight loss is one of the most powerful motivators I found to get someone interested in taking care of and optimizing their long-term health. So then, you are probably wondering -

What if you could say YOU were healthy, fit and had more energy to do all of the activities you wanted with your spouse and kids?

"Is there a "foundation" for healthy proactive weight loss ?" The answer is "YES"...!!!

When it comes to healthy long-term weight loss, NUTRITION is at the foundation for everything. So while healthy foods form the basis, exercise accelerates the results.
